PANTRY KIT Pick Up:  Thursday, November 6  from 4-6 pm
(or until supplies last)
During the ongoing government shut down and cuts to SNAP benefits, Hunger Fighters will be providing Pantry Kits to support those in need.

Our kits will come with all the things needed to help stock your pantry, including non-perishables, hygiene essentials, and hardy produce. These kits are available to all and can be picked up at designated times. 

As we anticipate more guests visiting the pantry,  picking up a kit is a great way to skip the line and still receive the items you need most. Please read the details below and we look forward to seeing you soon!

  • Picking up a pantry kit will count towards your twice monthly shop allowance
    • ​HFO guests are able to shop the pantry twice per month, picking up a kit will be counted as a "shop" day.
  • All kits will contain the same amount and types of food, regardless of household size
  • Guests can only pick up one kit per household per shop
  • Food kits will come pre-packed. Each kit will include items from our pantry staples list, including non-perishable items, hardy produce, and basic hygiene items.
    • Substitutions will NOT be available during pick up, however
    • If there are items in your kit that you do not want, there will be an area for you to put those items after pick up. You may be able to sub an item from that area. Help us reduce food waste and do not throw away or dump unwanted items.
  • Kits will be available until supplies last

We will continue to pack and hand out kits as long as we can during the shut down. Additional pick up dates and times will be shared on our website, social media feed, and through email. Please keep an eye out for additional support as it arises.
