Ian Reeves
Ian is a Spanish teacher at Lake Oswego Junior High. He also previously taught at Lake Oswego High School.
Between those two stints he took 10 years off to walk the length of South America and to travel through various parts of the world. He will now have to work till he’s 83 to be assured of any sort of retirement savings. In his travels he came face to face with the effects food insecurity, poverty, and hunger can have on a family and is honored to work with an organization that strives to mitigate similar problems in our community. Ian graduated from Portland State University with a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and later received his masters in education from Lewis and Clark. Ian, his wife, Deborah, and their cats and chickens live on six acres in the Eola Hills near Amity. |
